Hex Flip
A simple deck building card game inspired by classic mini games.
How to Play
You want to end each game with more cards flipped to your color than your opponent.
When you play a card, it flips each enemy card in an adjacent space that is has an arrow pointing to. If the card there also has an arrow pointing to your card, it only flips if yours has a higher offense than its defense. (The first number is offense, the second is defense).
A card with flying checks against the lowest number of the defending card.
Double arrows always beat single arrows.
+ and - add or subtract 1 from that arrow only.
This castle card has an offense of 1 and a defense of 4.
This fairy card has the flying symbol, which means it attacks the lowest number on the defending card. It also has double arrows on the top and bottom, meaning it always wins against defending single arrows there, and fights normally against other double arrows.
This badger card has a + symbol in the top right arrow. This means it is effectively a 3,2 for that arrow. Cards can also have a - symbol, subtracting 1 instead.
Controls
- Arrow keys: move cursor
- Space bar: select
- Shift: undue card selection
You can also use most common controllers, using the joy stick or d-pad to move, and the bottom and right buttons to select and undue.
